RULES & GUIDELINES FOR MATCHES

Range opens at 8:00-8:45am for sighting-in/zero-in
Shooters meeting 8:45am
Match starts promptly @ 9:00am

LONG RANGE MATCHES

  • Maximum 40 round matches. Shot at known distance targets.
  • Depending on turnout the Match might be shot in relays.
  • Match will be shot from the normal firing line.
  • Match shall be shot from the prone position only (unless you are handicapped in some way and need to shoot in another position or bench).
  • 1st relay shoots at the left target.
  • 2nd relay shoots at the right target.
  • Any rest front or rear.
  • The match directors will judge scoring.
  • Although this is not a timed event, all contestants must be ready to shoot when it is their turn in a respectable time frame.

The contestants on the first relay will be shooting with the left most shooter starting. Shooting one shot, then the shooter to his/her right takes his shot and will continue till each shooter has fired one shot. This order will continue until each shooter has fired all shots. Second relay is up and will shoot in the same fashion as first relay until all shooters have fired their shots. This order will continue at all distances.

TACTICAL MATCHES

  • Maximum 60 round match.
  • No sighters during match.
  • Bi-pods, ruck-sack/pack as a front rest only.
  • Bag or pack for a rear rest is OK.
  • The match directors will judge scoring.
  • Be prepared for any shooting position.
  • We may shoot from different locations on the range.
  • Expect the possibility of walking.
  • Hat might be a good idea.
  • Rifle slings might be a good idea.
  • Laser rangefinder OK!
  • Bring water/food as needed.
  • Bring a shooting mat if you want to stay clean.
  • No NRA highpower style shooting jackets.
  • Keep it simple, as you might have to carry it with you downrange.

SEMI AUTO MATCHES

  • Match will be run in the same manner as the LONG RANGE or TACTICAL matches.
  • Semi auto rifles only.

.22 RIM FIRE RAPID FIRE MATCHES

  • Maximum 100 round matches.
  • Match will be shot from a distance of 35 and/or 50 yards.
  • Match will be shot from the off hand position only.
  • Only 10 rounds may be loaded in the magazine.
  • This is a timed relay, 20 seconds for 10 rounds fired at 10 targets.
  • When “fire” is called the shooter may only then bring their rifle to their shoulder and start firing. When “time” is called shooting will cease.
  • Targets will be 4” knock off plates, 10 pc. to a bay. Targets must be shot in order starting from the far left to the right. If a target is missed, it must be skipped and the one on its right of it will be the next target. If the missed target is shot at again, it will be counted as a miss.
  • Any type of .22 rim fire rifle (semi auto may be preferable).
  • Any type of sights.
  • No sighters during match.
  • The match directors will judge scoring.
  • No NRA highpower style shooting jackets.

.22 RIM FIRE LONG RANGE MATCHES

  • Maximum of 60 scoring round match.
  • Match will be shot from the normal firing line, at targets on the 220 yard line.
  • Match shall be shot from the prone position only (unless you are handicapped in some way and need to shoot in another position or bench).
  • This is a timed relay, 2 minutes for 10 rounds fired at 10 targets.
  • Only one non scoring sighter shot will be allowed at the beginning of your string.
  • When “fire” is called the shooter may began firing. When “time” is called shooting will cease.
  • Targets will be 4” knock off plates, 10 pc. to a bay. Targets must be shot in order starting from the far left to the right. If a target is missed, it must be skipped and the one on its right of it will be the next target.
  • If the missed target is shot at again, it will be counted as a miss.
  • Any type of .22 rim fire rifle.
  • Any type of sights.
  • Any rest front or rear.
  • The match directors will judge scoring.

During a cease-fire, use of an open bolt indicator is required!
